Toms Comment was :
an interesting idea for the paving - but the tree planting could be viewed as either 'too little' or 'too much'

i would have to agree with his comment. they were a little bit of an after thought, if i dare admit that, but i felt like i needed to add some height, and greenery i was trying to cover too much.

i think now, maybe just the time line no trees just add a little bit of historical interest discretely so the square can still be used like it has been for so many years.

Tiananmen square competition by you.
China seen through time !
seeing how china is changing so fast , I though it was important to see how it got where it is today. it would be illustrated in the paving by engraving, following the central axis of the imperial city as a time line, accented.by a rill of water clensing the square. the avenue of tree would be Gingko biloba as seen through chinese history, it would bring the square into the future by helping the enviroment. To the north east of the square pine trees are situated as a wind break, protecting the Square from the spring dust storms. The pine trees will also bring back a sense of the chines hunting parks

Origional sketch befor being attaked by photoshop

sketch rendered in photoshop using bucket fill and texture effects

Axo renderd in photoshop same as above

What did i learn from 4th sketch design?
  • Never draw to small
  • Avoid these obnoxtiouse colours
  • I did like the Texture effects but if really show need to be bigger
  • At the moment think my hand colouring is better than my Photoshoping
  • Also get accros what is important in your design idea and have a picture of it

I like this one, not to sure if it does the images any Justice but it is exploring the perspective and its a bit more interesting than the other two that are a little bit boring, this is the one i will present :)
framing a part of the image it looks like i should have three pictures of me from primary school and give them to my granny.

I do like this Dynamic composition but it feels like there is too much empty space, so not this one.
